About The Position

BridgePhase is seeking an experienced, self-driven SAP Basis Administrator to support the architecture, administration, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise SAP systems and database environments. The position is responsible for helping ensure performance, reliability, security, and availability across complex SAP landscapes, while supporting implementations, upgrades, migrations, and ongoing operational initiatives. The role calls for extensive hands-on SAP Basis administration experience, knowledge of enterprise database technologies, and the ability to manage SAP environments across cloud and traditional infrastructure. The administrator will troubleshoot complex issues, collaborate with technical teams, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of infrastructure initiatives from planning through implementation. The role is fully remote and requires U.S. citizenship with no additional citizenship. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, with 12 or more years of relevant professional experience.
Extensive hands-on SAP Basis administration experience, including installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
Strong understanding of SAP architecture, system landscapes, operational requirements, and SAP administration best practices.
Experience administering and supporting SAP systems on Windows and Linux.
Experience with enterprise database platforms such as SAP HANA, Sybase, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience supporting SAP implementations, upgrades, migrations, and production operations.
Strong understanding of database backup and recovery strategies, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity practices.
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
Understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud computing models.
Experience working with technical teams on complex infrastructure initiatives, troubleshooting, and implementing solutions.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including independently investigating complex challenges, identifying root causes, and driving resolutions.
Experience supporting change management, risk assessments, and technical project coordination.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and deliver high-quality results.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and maintain technical quality and accountability.
Must be a U.S. citizen and hold only U.S. citizenship.
Adaptability, proactivity, and willingness to take ownership of evolving responsibilities based on customer and mission needs.

Responsibilities

Manage the technical architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing administration of enterprise SAP systems and supporting database environments.
Administer SAP Basis environments to ensure the performance, stability, security, and availability of SAP applications and infrastructure.
Design, maintain, and optimize SAP system landscapes across development, testing, and production environments.
Support implementation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance of SAP systems on Windows and Linux with HANA, Sybase, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
Develop and manage maintenance schedules for patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.
Apply SAP practices for database backup, recovery, system restoration, and business continuity.
Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and validation.
Troubleshoot complex SAP and database issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement lasting improvements to reliability and performance.
Provide technical leadership in resolving infrastructure challenges, optimizing performance, and addressing critical operational issues.
Evaluate technical requirements and advise on system architecture, integrations, and third-party dependencies.
Support SAP environments hosted on AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, customer support, professional services, and other cross-functional teams.
Manage change control, identify technical risks and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies for system changes.
Communicate project status, technical issues, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership.
Develop, document, and continuously improve technical standards, operational procedures, and SAP administration best practices.
Support modernization, enhancement, and optimization of enterprise SAP infrastructure and database systems.
