About The Position

Santa Claus is responsible for spreading holiday cheer and greeting customers at Stew Leonard’s, a family-owned fresh food store known for its country-fair atmosphere, costumed characters, and animated entertainment. The role involves engaging cheerfully with children and adults, including offering high fives and photo opportunities. The season starts after Thanksgiving. Weekend availability is required. The position is seasonal and hourly, paying $22–$30 per hour, with an additional $5 premium on Saturdays and Sundays.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Be enthusiastic.
Have strong interpersonal skills for interacting with children.
Have great customer service skills.
Have good oral communication skills.
Have a flexible schedule and the ability to work overnight or mornings.
Be available to work weekends.
Be able to work in a cold environment.
Be able to meet the position’s frequent walking, standing, and lifting demands; the position may also require repetitive use of hands.

Responsibilities

Greet customers with a friendly smile and positive attitude, helping them feel welcome and appreciated.
Interact cheerfully with children and adults, including providing high fives and photo opportunities.
Collaborate with team members and offer assistance and support as needed.
Help maintain store efficiency.
