About The Position

Cargill is hiring a Sanitor in its Food Enterprise, which serves food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with ingredients and branded products. The Sanitor helps maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic food-production environment by following plant safety, sanitation, food-safety, and GMP requirements; using cleaning tools and supplies; and recording completed work on the master sanitation schedule. The role is full time and pays $19.50 per hour, plus a $1.00-per-hour shift differential. The available schedule is second shift, Thursday through Sunday, from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to safely perform physical job duties that may include bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions while using personal protective equipment (PPE), potentially including heat, cold, dust, and loud noise.
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or different shifts, with advance notice.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in production, a food plant, or manufacturing.
• Previous food sanitation experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

• Comply with company GMP, safety, sanitation, and other plant rules.
• Follow Food Safety (HACCP) and GMP policies.
• Use cleaning tools and supplies.
• Document completed tasks using the master sanitation schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
