About The Position
Completely cleans and sanitizes the entire processing and packaging area and all production machinery used in any given work day, to ensure the entire plant is kept in a clean, neat condition.
Requirements
- Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors.
- Must be able to attend work on a regular basis; show up on time and work overtime when requested.
- Must be safety conscious and possess the understanding of safety rules and be aware of safe and unsafe conditions.
- Must work and handle sanitizing chemicals.
- Must be able to read and comprehend instruction sheets provided with cleaning chemicals.
- Must be able to drive a forklift.
Responsibilities
- Cleans entire processing area, including slicers, dicers, ovens, K-trons, tables, conveyors, chains, conveyors, floors, and walls.
- Breaks down, cleans and sanitizes all equipment including tumblers, vibrator feeders, hoppers, augers, blenders, tape machines, metal detectors, scales, packaging machines.
- Empties and cleans all trash receptacles in production area.
- Follows master sanitation schedule as instructed by supervisors.
- Washes all floors using floor scrubbers and mops.
- Adheres to company policies, procedures, good manufacturing practices, code of safe practices, Standard Operating Procedures and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Wears all required safety equipment.

- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, lift, stoop, and move in a safe and alert manner.
- Must be able to move about 700 lbs. of equipment (equipment on wheels).
