About The Position

Cargill is hiring a Sanitor in its Food Enterprise, which serves food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with ingredients and branded products. The role is full-time and pays $19.50 per hour, plus a $1.00-per-hour shift differential. The schedule is second shift, Thursday through Sunday, from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. The position does not include relocation reimbursement. The Sanitor helps maintain safe, hygienic, and food-safe plant conditions by following company sanitation, safety, and food-safety policies. The role uses cleaning tools and supplies and documents completed work using the master sanitation schedule. Employees may need to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice.

Requirements

Be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Be at least 18 years old.
Have basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Be able to perform physical job duties, which may include bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions while using personal protective equipment (PPE); conditions may include heat, cold, dust, and loud noise.
Be able to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or different shifts, with advance notice.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in production, a food plant, or manufacturing.
Previous food sanitation experience.

Responsibilities

Understand and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Maintain hygienic conditions to support a food-safe work environment.
Comply with GMP, safety, sanitation, and other plant rules established by the company.
Follow Food Safety (HACCP) and GMP policies.
Use cleaning tools and supplies.
Document completed tasks using the master sanitation schedule.
Perform other duties as assigned.
