About The Position

Performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation tasks in a warehouse facility, including dry, cooler, and freezer areas. Similar duties may be performed in office areas as assigned. The role may require operating a pallet jack to transport refuse and trash to appropriate receptacles, using a compactor, and working with cleaning chemicals. The employee follows safety rules and completes duties as assigned based on business needs.

The position completes work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines, immediately reports unsafe conditions or acts, and is certified to operate required equipment. Cleaning chemicals must be handled as directed in hazmat material sheets. The employee must complete assigned Pure Safety training modules and other assignments accurately and on time, as well as perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 3–6 months of general sanitation, cleaning, and/or janitorial work experience.

Nice To Haves

• 6–12 months of general sanitation, cleaning, and/or janitorial work experience in a warehouse environment.
• Pallet jack experience.
• Pallet Jack professional certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation tasks in warehouse dry, cooler, and freezer areas, and in office areas when assigned.
• Dust, sweep, mop, pick up trash, and perform related janitorial tasks.
• Use a compactor and, as needed, operate a pallet jack to transport refuse and trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Handle cleaning chemicals according to hazmat material sheets.
• Follow company health and safety policies and guidelines, and report unsafe conditions or acts immediately.
• Maintain certification to operate all required equipment.
• Complete assigned Pure Safety training modules accurately and on time.
• Complete assignments accurately and on time and perform other related duties as assigned.
