About The Position

Sanitation Associate team members perform deep cleaning throughout the distribution center and its grounds to maintain sanitation standards. Safe operation in accordance with company policies is a prime importance. The position involves routine and non-routine cleaning, waste removal, operation of cleaning and powered equipment, supply replenishment, and upkeep of janitorial stations and building 5S boards.

Requirements

Must be willing to move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment manually or using hand trucks.

Responsibilities

Comply with safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the company and regulatory authorities.
Perform routine and non-routine cleaning throughout the building, including surfaces inside and outside the distribution center.
Remove trash, cardboard, debris, and pallets.
Perform cleaning activities requiring ladders and powered equipment at high levels.
Notify managers about the need for minor or major repairs to the building or equipment.
Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment manually or using hand trucks to clean areas.
Maintain building 5S boards.
Requisition and replenish supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and sanitation duties.
Operate floor scrubbing equipment and a cardboard baler, and maintain stations containing janitorial equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
