About The Position

As a Sanitation Team Member, you will maintain the cleanliness and safety of the facility, including warehouse and office areas. You will help ensure compliance with sanitation practices and proper chemical use, supporting food safety and quality standards so operations run smoothly and customers remain safe. The position is full-time and based at GFI Southwest in Conroe, Texas. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, carry up to 50 pounds, and push or pull up to 30 pounds of force.
Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments ranging from 0 to 36 degrees Fahrenheit, including extended periods in a cold environment.
Steel-toe shoes are required.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow directions, meet deadlines, and work under minimal supervision.
Ability to stand for long periods and reach and bend.
Must be able to meet the position's scheduling requirements.

Nice To Haves

Previous warehouse and/or cold storage experience.
Previous food-grade warehouse sanitation or janitorial experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain the overall cleanliness of the warehouse and offices.
Complete scheduled sanitation duties correctly and on time according to the master sanitation schedule.
Use, label, and store cleaning chemicals correctly in compliance with Safety Data Sheets.
Help maintain the safety, quality, and legality of food products.
