About The Position

As a Facilities Sanitation Team Member, you will help keep the entire operation running smoothly. Working alongside the Operations Teams, you will provide service to each department by responding quickly and efficiently to calls about spills, breaks, or other accidents, while maintaining the facility's general upkeep and safety.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
Customer service experience.

Nice To Haves

Custodial or janitorial experience.
Experience using forklifts and pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

Keep the facility in pristine condition, answer questions, and communicate potential dangers to management.
Respond promptly to maintenance calls involving spills, breaks, other accidents, and maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and unclogging drains.
Work independently to prioritize and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
Keep warehouse floors clear of wood, plastic, cardboard, and other debris; clean and restock restrooms; sweep floors; empty trash receptacles; clean windows; and perform other assigned jobs.
Safely operate ride-on and walk-behind floor scrubbers and perform basic preventative maintenance on cleaning equipment.
Operate cardboard and plastic balers and compactors, and load pallets and recyclables onto trailers.
Maintain an organized, well-stocked, simplified supply room and maintenance stations so supplies are available for maintenance calls.
Use equipment and handle products properly; keep accurate logs; follow sanitation practices, Simplification 5S procedures, Wegmans policies, and applicable federal and state laws.
