About The Position

The Pictsweet Company is hiring Sanitation Workers for its Sanitation department on third shift. Sanitation Workers keep production processing equipment, machinery, and work areas in an industrial establishment clean and orderly. The role involves washing and scrubbing processing equipment, removing refuse and discarded product for proper disposal, cleaning walls and floors, and cleaning equipment and related components. Workers must use water sparingly, keep solids out of drains, wear personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow Company safety guidelines. The position requires availability for 12-hour shifts, six to seven days per week, including weekends and holidays. Rotating shifts may be required.

Requirements

• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, six to seven days per week.
• Ability to work weekends, including holidays.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, if necessary.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.

Responsibilities

• Wash, scrub, and hose down processing equipment and machinery, such as tanks, vats, and conveyor belts, using water, soap, and cleaning solution.
• Pick up and remove refuse, litter, and discarded product from floors with a scoop and broom, and transport it to proper disposal areas; do not use a water hose to remove these solids.
• Keep solids from being hosed down drains and minimize water usage.
• Wash walls and floors as needed with a pressure washer.
• Clean lint, dust, oil, and grease from equipment, overhead pipes, and conveyors.
• Clean screens and filters.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) before commencing work.
• Follow all safety guidelines set forth by the Company.
