About The Position

Fontanini, located in McCook, IL just outside of Chicago, is seeking Sanitation Professionals on our 3rd Shift operation. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a food manufacturing environment. Sanitation Professionals are responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all production areas, including equipment, machinery, walls, floors, and ceilings.

Requirements

Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting preferably food manufacturing.
Understanding of GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Ability to read labels requirements.
Ability to perform essential functions of the job per job workstations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

Cleaning up excess meat from the floor using a squeegee or shovel
Hosing down equipment and machinery with high pressure, hot water hoses
Applying foam to all surfaces in production areas, scrubbing equipment and machinery, rinsing foam from equipment and machinery, applying sanitizers and oil/air mixtures to all surfaces in production areas
Disassembling equipment and machinery for cleaning purposes, once clean reassembling equipment
Complete all required production paperwork.
Required to perform all required quality checks according to standards.
Follow all people safety guidelines, food safety guidelines and company policies.
Participate in safety and quality trainings.
Additional duties as assigned.
