About The Position

The Sanitation Worker cleans general warehouse areas, breakrooms, bathrooms, and the test kitchen; stocks supplies; changes garbage bags; and performs sweeping, vacuuming, and floor scrubbing. The role also includes light maintenance, such as painting, pressure washing, changing batteries, and using ladders. Work regularly takes place in a cold environment described as 30–40 degrees, with occasional work in a freezer described as 30–40 degrees. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–6 months of experience.
• Physical fitness and strength to lift 50–90 pounds comfortably.

Nice To Haves

• Electric pallet jack and forklift experience; this experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean general warehouse areas, breakrooms, bathrooms, and the test kitchen.
• Stock supplies and change garbage bags.
• Sweep, vacuum, and operate a floor scrubber.
• Use detergents and sanitizing chemicals according to MSDS procedures, and read labels to identify chemicals.
• Perform light maintenance, including painting, pressure washing, changing batteries, and using ladders.
• Occasionally clean oil spills.
• Operate a pallet jack and forklift.
