About The Position

The Sanitation Worker loads and unloads totes into a sanitizer, cleans out totes, and removes trash and labels. The role also involves general labor and construction-support tasks, following instructions from a construction manager or supervisor, moving materials, assisting contractors, and keeping work areas, equipment, and tools clean and safe. Work is available on a weekday day shift or swing shift in Lakewood, Washington. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with training provided.

Requirements

Ability to stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 40 pounds.
Comfortable climbing tall ladders and working at elevated levels.
Positive attitude and work ethic.
Able to work independently or as an active member of a team.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of management.
Able to pass a background check.
Able to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Laborer experience preferred.
English and Spanish fluency is a plus.

Responsibilities

Load and unload totes into the sanitizer.
Clean out totes and remove trash and labels.
Follow project instructions from the construction manager or supervisor.
Move materials from one place to another.
Follow health and safety regulations when operating equipment.
Wear required protective gear, including headgear, earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, and appropriate clothing.
Complete assigned tasks quickly and safely.
Assist in building scaffolding and temporary structures.
Dig, move dirt, or compact space.
Provide assistance to contractors, including craft workers, electricians, and painters, as needed.
Clean and clear debris and hazardous materials.
Clean and properly store construction equipment and tools.
