About The Position

Sabrosura Foods is hiring a Sanitation Technician to perform detailed, deep cleaning of production equipment and maintain overall facility cleanliness. The role uses chemicals and sanitation equipment, including foamers, steam hoses, COP tanks, and CIP systems. It requires strict adherence to GMP, sanitation, safety, timekeeping, and personal conduct rules. The position is on second shift, Monday through Friday, from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m., with overtime as required, and includes a $1-per-hour second-shift premium.

Requirements

Sanitation experience in a food production environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Close attention to detail.
Ability to follow directions consistently.
Proficient manual dexterity to perform routine functions.
Ability to perform essential job functions, including prolonged standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive movements.
Comfort working in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
Ability to stand and walk 4–10 hours per day; frequently bend, reach, kneel, and squat; lift or carry up to 40 pounds; and push or pull up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain certification for forklifts, pallet jacks, and walkie forklifts.
Conduct CIP and COP tank verifications, including chemical concentrations, flow, time, and temperature.
Communicate food-safety-related issues to supervisors or managers.
Observe facility and equipment conditions to ensure they are in good condition and compliant.
Perform and follow SSOPs for production tools and equipment.
Document sanitation and production checks.
Follow GMP, PPE, and chemical-handling practices.
Fully tear down production equipment for sanitation.
Use foaming equipment and scrub facility equipment.
Understand chemical uses and purposes.
Verify equipment cleanliness after cleaning.
Follow the facility color-coding program for cleaning methods.
Complete Master Sanitation Schedules on time.
Assist Line and Floor Sanitation Supervisors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
