Sanitation Tech

The Sanitation Tech position at Local Bounti is responsible for cleaning production equipment, machines, and work areas in the food processing facilities. They will handle and prepare cleaning chemicals, create a hygienic working environment, promote health and safety, and ensure quality control. The ideal candidate should have a good work ethic, be resourceful and organized, and be able to respond to problems efficiently. This role requires the ability to work in a wet environment, wear appropriate protective equipment, and work alone if necessary. A high school diploma or GED certificate is preferred.

• Cleaning production equipment, machines, and work areas in the food processing facilities
• Handling and preparing cleaning chemicals, sanitizers, and chemical concentrations
• Managing chemical accidents
• Reading chemical labels or Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to learn how to properly handle chemicals
• Creating and maintaining an efficient, hygienic, and positive working environment
• Promoting health and safety in the workplace
• Displaying good work ethic, resourcefulness, and organization
• Understanding the Standard Operating Procedures and Inspection Regulations
• Ensuring quality control and efficient workflow
• Displaying positive leadership
• Documenting and verifying activities supporting Local Bounti's Food Safety & Quality Assurance Programs
