About The Position

Cargill is hiring a Sanitation Production employee for its protein and salt business in Round Rock, Texas. This full-time role is available on the 3rd shift and pays $18.50 per hour. The position performs labor-intensive sanitation and housekeeping work, along with basic maintenance and facility-support tasks, to help maintain sanitary conditions, product quality, and safe operations. Employees use specialized sanitation equipment and cleaning chemicals and follow established schedules, safety procedures, food-safety regulations, and lockout/tagout procedures. Relocation reimbursement is not included.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.

• Prior experience in sanitation, housekeeping, or facilities operations in a food-manufacturing or industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform labor-intensive sanitation and housekeeping processes using specialized sanitation equipment according to established schedules, safety procedures, and food-safety regulations.
• Follow safe work practices, applicable government regulations, company guidelines, and lockout/tagout procedures to maintain sanitary conditions and product quality.
• Perform basic maintenance and facility-support tasks inside and outside the facility, including shoveling snow, applying salt, painting handrails and pipes, and ordering supplies as needed.
• Inspect sanitation-related equipment on schedule, including steam and tempered-water hoses, and report or address issues as required.
• Troubleshoot and clear unplugged jets and unclog drains to maintain sanitation-system functionality.
• Remove and properly dispose of waste debris, including trash, paper, insulation, and chemical-waste drums, according to established procedures.
• Handle cleaning and sanitizing chemicals safely, use required personal protective equipment, and operate sanitation equipment.
• Maintain site cleanliness by sweeping, dusting, and mopping production and non-production areas.
• Perform other sanitation- or facilities-related duties as assigned.
