About The Position

Cumberland Dairy is hiring a Sanitation Technician to ensure the plant meets mandatory sanitation requirements for machinery, equipment, and facilities. The role includes safely operating power equipment, handling inventory and transfers of bulk chemicals, and following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Cumberland Dairy produces ultra-pasteurized, refrigerated, extended shelf-life dairy products and is part of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a farmer-owned dairy marketing cooperative.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Must pass pre-employment drug, background, and criminal screenings.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
Ability to legibly write record-keeping entries.
Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach, and bend for virtually the entire shift.
Must regularly lift up to 25 pounds, with the capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work near moving mechanical parts with risk of electrical shock.
Must be able to work in a wet environment with toxic or caustic chemicals.
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Experience in a high-speed, high-volume automated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
