Sanitation Opr - 3nd shift-Newbern
About The Position
This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work areas and, assembling and disassembling equipment while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The role involves dry pickup, breaking down and setting up equipment, using high-pressure hoses for rinsing, and applying various chemicals for cleaning floors. The Sanitation Operator will visually check areas for cleanliness, work closely with Quality Assurance and USDA, and uphold the principles of SQF 2000. The work schedule may vary depending on production, and various other tasks may be assigned by lead personnel or supervisors. The job requires working in temperatures of 35 degrees Fahrenheit or less for a minimum of 8 hours and involves tasks such as bending, twisting, reaching, standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds for extended periods on a concrete floor.
Requirements
- Willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of 8 hours
- Ability to become certified in Tyson’s Lock Out/Tag Out program
- Willing and able to pinch/grip product/equipment
- Familiar with safe operation and use of high-pressure hoses and sanitation chemicals
- Willing and able to perform tasks for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, including bending, twisting, reaching, standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting
- Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Must have 6 months of continuous employment in the last 18 months
Nice To Haves
- At least 6 months of relevant machine operator, warehouse, agriculture or production experience
