About The Position

This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work areas and, assembling and disassembling equipment while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The role involves dry pickup, breaking down and setting up equipment, using high-pressure hoses for rinsing, and applying chemicals for cleaning. The operator will visually check areas for cleanliness and collaborate with Quality Assurance and USDA. Upholding the principles of SQF 2000 is essential. The work schedule may vary depending on production needs, and various other tasks may be assigned by leadership.

Requirements

Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of 8 hours
Ability to become certified in Tyson’s Lock Out/Tag Out program
Must be willing and able to pinch/grip product/equipment
Familiar with safe operation and use of high-pressure hoses and sanitation chemicals
Must be willing and able to perform tasks for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, including bending, twisting, reaching, standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting
Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
Must have been in current position 6 months for lateral or demotion
Must have less than 4 points, no written warnings in the past 6 months, and no suspensions in the last 12 months

Cleaning and sanitizing work areas
Assembling and disassembling equipment
Maintaining a safe work environment
Adhering to Tyson policies and procedures
Performing dry pickup
Breaking down and setting up equipment
Using high-pressure hose to rinse area and floor
Using various chemicals to foam and scrub floor
Visually checking area for cleanliness
Working closely with Quality Assurance and USDA
Upholding the principals of SQF 2000
Performing various other tasks as assigned by Lead person, Supervisor or Superintendent
