This position is responsible for setting up equipment in preparation for startup and learning all jobs within the department. The role requires adherence to safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies. The Utility Operator must be fluent in computer-based programs like Microsoft Excel and SAP, or have the ability to learn them. Certification in Tyson’s Lock Out Tag Out program is also required. The role involves monitoring the production area for cleanliness, performing assigned tasks, and communicating effectively with company employees and management. Familiarity with the safe operation of production line conveyor equipment is necessary. The position requires the ability to work in temperatures of 35 degrees Fahrenheit or less for a minimum of 8 hours, and to perform tasks such as pinch/grip product, bending, twisting, reaching, standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting for periods of 8 hours on a concrete floor.
