About The Position

Sanitation II is a full-time role in a food manufacturing environment, working the 3rd shift. The position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production tools, equipment, and facilities while following sanitation protocols, schedules, and safety requirements. A $1.50 shift differential applies for work between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. The company notes opportunities for advancement.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of related experience in sanitation, food manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment.
• Basic understanding of facility cleaning procedures and compliance with safety standards, including OSHA and local, state, and federal requirements, and GMPs.
• Ability to follow regulatory, customer, and company sanitation policies and procedures.
• Ability to stand and walk on concrete and work in cold and/or hot temperatures.
• Availability for overtime or weekends based on plant scheduling needs.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate steam, high-pressure hoses, and CIP equipment to clean and sanitize production tools, equipment, and facilities.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment according to sanitation protocols to ensure thorough cleaning.
• Follow sanitation schedules, perform routine cleaning, and accurately document activities.
• Handle and document chemical usage according to specified concentrations and safety guidelines.
• Verify sanitation effectiveness through proper chemical application and passing microbiological indicator tests.
