About The Position

The Sanitation II position is a full-time role in a food manufacturing environment, working 3rd shift. The role is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production tools, equipment, and facilities while following sanitation protocols and safety requirements. An additional $1.50 shift differential applies from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. The company describes opportunities for advancement.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of related experience in sanitation, food manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment.
• Basic understanding of facility cleaning procedures and compliance with safety standards, including OSHA and local, state, and federal requirements, and GMPs.
• Ability to follow regulatory, customer, and company sanitation policies and procedures.
• Ability to stand and walk on concrete and work in cold and/or hot temperatures.
• Availability for overtime or weekends based on plant scheduling needs.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate steam, high-pressure hoses, and CIP equipment to clean and sanitize production tools, equipment, and facilities.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment following sanitation protocols to ensure thorough cleaning.
• Follow sanitation schedules, perform routine cleaning, and accurately document activities.
• Handle and document chemical usage according to specified concentrations and safety guidelines.
• Verify sanitation effectiveness by ensuring proper chemical application and passing microbiological indicator tests.
