About The Position

The Sanitation Hourly employee cleans and sanitizes production areas and performs sanitation tasks with little supervision, including scrubbing walls, floors, tables, and hallways. The role involves hands-on work at a high speed and may require lifting more than 50 pounds. Employees complete mandatory safety and food safety/GMP training for their assignments.

Work takes place in production and maintenance settings, with exposure to chemicals, machinery, knives, slippery floors, cold temperatures, and loud ambient noise. The position requires working with chemicals after receiving proper training and using personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• Be able to stand, walk, bend, and/or crawl for extended periods.
• Be able to work in extreme temperatures and tolerate frequent exposure to moving machinery, hot water, and slippery floors.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and perform repetitive hand scrubbing and hose work.
• Be able to work with multiple chemicals after proper training and with personal protective equipment.
• Maintain good attendance and safety records.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a meat processing plant or similar manufacturing setting is preferred.
