About The Position
Indiana Packers is seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team to fulfill our Sanitation 3rd Shift positions. As a Sanitation team member, you will clean and scour equipment to comply with all food safety requirements. This factory position is needed for 8 to 10 hours a day, including some Saturdays. Third shift hours are from 10:00pm - 7:00am.
Requirements
- All applicants must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work in a cold, humid, fast-paced, and physically demanding environment.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Must be able to reach high and low levels frequently
- Must be able to grip with wrist
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform repetitive motions.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team setting.
Responsibilities
- Cover motors, electrical plugs, and all computer equipment
- Use a pressure hose to spray down all equipment
- Scour equipment with chemical as needed
- Cleaning of pipes, walls, refrigeration units, etc.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Adhere to all workplace safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform general housekeeping duties
- Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements
