About The Position

Supports daily operations within the Sensory Kitchen at the Sam’s Club Home Office by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and efficient handling of materials and equipment. This role is responsible for receiving deliveries, managing inventory, washing dishes, and ensuring all kitchen and storage areas meet food safety and sanitation standards. The associate plays a critical role in enabling sensory testing and product development by keeping the kitchen environment prepared, safe, and operational.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Obtain certified ServSafe Food Handler or related food safety certification within 45 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year experience in food service, kitchen operations, or back-of-house roles
  • Experience with dishwashing, sanitation, or inventory handling
  • Food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent), or ability to obtain within 45 days
  • Catering and restaurant operations
  • Commercial Cooking Food Services - ServSafe Certification - Certification

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and unload deliveries from suppliers and internal partners
  • Unbox, label, and organize products and materials
  • Maintain accurate and organized storage across dry, refrigerated, and frozen areas
  • Track inventory levels and communicate shortages or issues
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment using commercial and manual methods
  • Ensure all items meet sanitation and cleanliness standards
  • Clean and sanitize workstations, sinks, and prep areas
  • Dispose of waste and maintain clean waste areas
  • Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of kitchen and storage spaces
  • Restock supplies (utensils, containers, cleaning materials)
  • Ensure proper labeling and storage practices
  • Monitor equipment cleanliness and report maintenance needs
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of sensory testing activities
  • Support team with general kitchen readiness tasks
  • Follow all company policies, food safety, and operational procedures
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned
