About The Position

We are hiring for a Salon assistant and a receptionist in Downtown Galloway. You MUST have your Cosmeology license for this position. We are looking for a highly motivated, friendly, upbeat individual to join our upscale salon. This position also requires one day on our front desk as a receptionist. This is an opportunity for someone to learn the salon business, gain hands-on experience, work alongside experienced stylists, and grow as a stylist with our company. We are hiring for very specific hours: Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Thursday 2:30 PM - 8:00 PM, Friday on the desk 10:00 AM - 4 PM. If you are looking for an easy job with minimal responsibilities this job is not for you. If you are self-motivated and hardworking, this position may be what you need to build a successful future in the Salon industry.

Requirements

• Must have your Cosmetology license
• Must have shampoo license
• Genuine desire to do hair
• Clear interest in building a career in hair dressing
• Friendly, upbeat, go-getter attitude
• Willingness to take on new tasks and learn outside comfort zone
• Reliable and takes job seriously
• Willingness to work hard and learn
• Desire to eventually become a stylist and willingness to put in the work
• Wants to be a part of a team and salon community

Responsibilities

• Assist Stylists throughout the salon
• Perform Shampoo Services (Must have shampoo license no exception)
• Keep stations and salon areas clean and organized
• Interact with guests and greet them
• Answer phones and interact with client needs
• Schedule and Book appointments
• Learn and operate POS/register system
• Work the front desk particularly on Fridays
• Learn the day-to-day operations of a busy successful salon
• Take on new responsibilities as you learn and grow
