About The Position

FormativGroup is seeking an experienced Salesforce QA Engineer to validate the quality, stability, security, and performance of Salesforce solutions across Government Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud environments. The role combines manual and automated testing, Agile delivery, and knowledge of complex enterprise Salesforce systems. The QA Engineer works closely with developers, business analysts, administrators, architects, project teams, and client stakeholders to validate requirements, test integrations, support releases, and help deliver high-quality solutions in regulated environments.

This is a collaborative, client-facing role on a remote U.S.-based Public Sector / Government Cloud project, with potential travel and possible extension depending on project needs and performance. FormativGroup is also connecting with talent for anticipated future openings. Candidates must reside in one of the listed eligible states or Washington, D.C., and be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; visa sponsorship is unavailable. The estimated compensation range is $115,000–$155,000 USD. Employees may be eligible for discretionary incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Salesforce QA, Quality Engineering, or Salesforce testing roles in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience supporting Public Sector and Government Cloud Salesforce implementations.
• Extensive experience building and executing automated test scripts using test automation tools.
• Hands-on testing experience with Government Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Lightning Experience, Salesforce Flows, and declarative automation.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce functionality, security models, user roles, profiles, and sharing architecture.
• Experience performing functional, regression, integration, UAT, end-to-end, and API testing.
• Experience using Copado for Salesforce DevOps, automated testing, and release validation.
• Experience validating integrations involving APIs, web services, middleware, and external systems.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum software delivery methodologies and release cycles.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and process discipline.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in client-facing environments.
• Experience in regulated, compliance-driven, or government-focused delivery environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document defects, testing outcomes, and validation results clearly.
• Must reside in one of the eligible U.S. states listed in the posting or Washington, D.C.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; the company cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa.

Nice To Haves

• Cannabis industry experience is highly preferred.
• Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Salesforce Business Analyst, or Salesforce Platform App Builder certification.
• Experience in Salesforce consulting, systems integrator, or professional services environments.
• Exposure to MuleSoft or enterprise integration platforms.
• Experience with Gearset, Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Selenium, or Provar.
• Familiarity with Salesforce Experience Cloud sites, portals, and digital experiences.

• Exposure to Einstein AI, Agentforce, or GenAI-assisted workflows.
• Business Analyst experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain test strategies and plans for Salesforce Government Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud implementations.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, UAT, and end-to-end testing across Salesforce solutions and integrations.
• Validate Salesforce configurations, Flows, Lightning components, Apex functionality, APIs, security models, and custom platform enhancements.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, architects, and project teams to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and business processes.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and regression suites using Copado and related Salesforce testing tools.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, retrospectives, and release readiness activities.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution, and partner with development teams on root cause analysis and remediation.
• Validate data integrity, migration accuracy, and platform behavior across environments and deployments.
• Ensure Salesforce solutions comply with security, governance, accessibility, and regulatory requirements in Government Cloud environments.
• Support CI/CD deployment validation, release management, and production readiness testing.
• Execute API and integration testing involving MuleSoft, middleware platforms, and external enterprise systems.
• Participate in client-facing discussions, testing reviews, and UAT coordination sessions as needed.
• Maintain QA documentation, including test cases, test scripts, traceability matrices, defect logs, and release validation reports.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation frameworks, and Agile delivery practices.
