About The Position

Under the Application and Database Administrator Team Lead’s supervision, provide Salesforce Marketing Cloud administration support for the university's platform, including user management, configuration, custom objects, reporting, and integrations with other campus-wide software as assigned. This role will also include administering other assigned cloud software applications. This position is not eligible for new visa sponsorship at this time. Candidates who already hold valid U.S. work authorization may be considered.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or related experience and/or training.
  • Two years full-time paid professional work experience in information technology systems administration support and analysis.
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and adapt to new technologies and processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in Higher Education.
  • Two years of full-time paid professional work experience in Salesforce administration, including platform configuration and user management.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM201 or higher).
  • Experience working with relational database technology, including SQL or PL/SQL programming.
  • Experience with Single Sign On (SSO) including CAS, Shibboleth, LDAP.
  • Familiarity with Ellucian Banner or similar ERP systems, document management, or portal software applications.
  • Automation tools experience including shell scripts and job schedulers.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator for the Salesforce Marketing Cloud environment, while also providing administrative support for other assigned cloud-based applications.
  • User account maintenance, reports, and configuration tasks.
  • Manage Salesforce data feeds and other integrations, coordinate the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requests, and manage regular system audits and prepare for upgrades.
  • Data integrity; data extensions; automate workflows; platform customization
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide technical support to functional users
  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for Salesforce releases.
  • Work with university stakeholders to establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities.
  • Coordinate with vendors, information technology staff, and functional departments during application and system upgrades.
  • Keep abreast of Salesforce releases, features, and best practices to provide recommendations for process improvements and platform optimization.
  • Consult with customers to help increase business efficiency using existing services and technology.
  • Occasional on‐call and after business hours/weekend support.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
