About The Position

The Sales Trainer specializes in in-home sales and is responsible for training and developing all sales new hires in “The Long Way” selling system, as well as providing ongoing training for all tenured salespeople. The Sales Trainer is responsible for maintaining cutting edge training techniques, including proficiency in learning management systems and technology to drive performance and achieve revenue goals. The Sales Trainer identifies training needs, develops dynamic training curriculums, appeals to varying learning styles and delivers effective training to produce and maintain high-performing Product Specialists for all markets.

Requirements

  • Broad knowledge of learning styles, training methods and curriculum development.
  • Ability to build online courses through a learning management system.
  • Effective communication, both written and verbal.
  • Strong speaking, teaching and presentations skills with the ability to tailor to groups of varying sizes, abilities, backgrounds and education.
  • Ability to write and edit detailed documents, including manuals, scripts and curriculums.
  • Proven experience meeting monthly, quarterly and annual goals.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire others towards a common goal.
  • Ability to represent the company in a business-like and professional manner.
  • Strong sense of responsibility around team results.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and teach an effective, engaging and comprehensive Sales Training Program featuring one-call-close skills, the 102-step selling system, technology training, product knowledge, company history, industry education and other topics as needed.
  • Coach, develop and motivate new and tenured Product Specialists to effectively sell LH products, provide “world class” customer service, deliver on their commitments and meet their KPIs.
  • Support execution of all training logistics, including schedule, equipment, travel and accommodations etc.
  • Support onboarding for all sales team members, ensuring thorough understanding of company policies, procedures and specific job responsibilities.
  • Support all state and municipal licensing processes and renewals for sales team members (Product Specialists, Sales Managers and Trainers).
  • Support Sales Training Manager and Sales Managers in ensuring all Product Specialists are up to date on current sales script, sales technologies, product offerings, product knowledge, company history and the home improvement industry.
  • Must listen to all Rilla’s for Reps within first 90 days post training and reps on performance improvement plans (PIPs).
  • Teach curriculums for classroom, remote and digital trainings, with product-specific variations for all products.
  • Provide access and training to Salesforce, Hover, Rilla, Podium and other sales technologies.
  • Support design and building of content and sales learning pathways for LMS/e-learning system.
  • Monitor individual and team results through Rillas and ride-alongs, training to correct as needed, as directed by Sales Training Manager.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product lines, finance options and installation processes and comply with related company processes.
  • Ensure adherence to sales processes and scripts, staying updated on company-wide changes.
  • Ensure all Product Specialists adhere to LH guidelines around dress code and code of conduct, including demonstrating a positive attitude and treating colleagues and customers with the utmost respect, as laid out in the Employee Handbook.
  • Maintain an environment that embodies the company’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Remain in compliance and up to date on all company-wide live and digital training.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
