About The Position
This entry-level, part-time Sales Support position is based at Fastenal’s branch at 1682 Industrial Dr NW, Rochester, Minnesota. The role assists customers and supports branch operations in a fast-paced environment. A flexible schedule may be available after onboarding and training and upon meeting performance goals. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with 10–28 hours per week.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a current, valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located, meet applicable graduated-license requirements, and meet driving-record requirements to use a company vehicle as needed.
- Possess or be working toward a degree in Business or Marketing, or have related industry experience and knowledge of the local market.
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Have proficient computer skills.
- Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
- Show strong sales aptitude and a desire to sell.
- Be highly motivated, self-directed, and customer-service oriented.
- Demonstrate ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork.
- Be able to lift, slide, carry, and lower packages typically weighing 25–50 pounds and potentially up to 75 pounds.
- Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam only).
