About The Position

Virginia Correctional Enterprises (VCE) is a manufacturing and service agency that is focused on providing meaningful jobs and work skills for offenders and offering quality goods and services to our customers. This position maintains a consistent and timely customer order entry process and assist customers with product selection within the furniture industries as required. Responsibilities include managing incoming inquiries from customers requesting timely updates on project status and executing proactive outbound communications via telephone and email as circumstances warrant. If hired by VCE you will start or restart a 12-month probationary period. This is for all New Hires, Transfers, returning State Employees.

Requirements

Advanced skillset in using Microsoft Office software to include MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and keyboarding techniques with minimal errors.
Ability to effectively cross-train in multiple areas of Customer Service.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in written and oral communications.
Ability to maintain attention to detail, provide empathy, listen actively to resolve problems, and multi-task effectively.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in an active customer service environment to improve customer experiences and build customer loyalty.
Experience with a computerized inventory control system or ERP/MRP system.
