About The Position

For more information on our products, services and locations visit govce.net Provides support operations in a metal furniture, office systems, seating plant by performing accurate data entry, purchasing, inventory control, customer service, reporting, and prioritizing job production for the production staff at the plant. Probationary Period: If hired by VCE you will start or restart a 12-month probationary period. This is for all New Hires, Transfers, returning State Employees.

Requirements

Proficiency in computer keyboarding and MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Proficiency in planning, organizing, record-keeping, purchasing, problem-solving, and training.
Ability to effectively manage time, maintain attention to detail, prioritize, and make decisions.
Ability to work independently, resolve problems, and perform effectively in complex work situations that involve multi-tasking and procedural requirements.
Ability to work in environments in which production, chemical, equipment or other environmental risks may be present.
Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing, listen effectively and handle difficult situations.
Prior experience in an office or manufacturing environment.
