Sales & Service Technician
About The Position
The Sales & Service Technician works onsite at Dyson’s Fort Lauderdale service center, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing Dyson customer products, including vacuums, fans, air purifiers, and hair dryers. The role also provides product information, supports sales and cross-selling, and ensures customers receive a positive in-store service experience. Paid training is provided to develop technical expertise. This is a full-time position of 40 or more hours per week, scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Hours may change based on customer demand.
Requirements
- Experience in a customer service and sales-related position.
- Experience using and learning about consumer electronics, especially Dyson products.
- Aptitude for acquiring technical repair skills.
- Ability to collaborate successfully in team environments.
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Dyson customer products in person.
- Communicate information about Dyson products to promote cross-selling and services to existing customers.
- Provide excellent customer service and a positive in-store experience.
- Enter customer sales information into the Dyson system to process orders.
- Submit daily and weekly reports on products and customers serviced, along with other required reporting.
- Manage parts usage and inventory as directed.
- Communicate process activity and understand and follow Dyson service levels.
- Assist the Customer Service Team with escalated repair instances.
