About The Position

Wet Planet is seeking a Sales & Reservations Specialist to join its small office team for the 2027 season. The role helps guests plan rafting and kayaking adventures, trips, and courses by responding to calls and emails, sharing information, answering questions, and helping guests choose an appropriate experience. The specialist works with the wider operation at the base and on the river, supporting daily trip and course logistics, welcoming arriving guests, and briefing river guides on group-specific details. The office is located at Wet Planet headquarters on the banks of the White Salmon River in the Columbia River Gorge.

Requirements

• Previous work experience, ideally in hospitality and service, the outdoor industry, guest services, or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Administrative and sales experience.
• General interest in the outdoors, especially whitewater, or a desire to learn about it.
• Desire to work in the seasonal outdoor industry.
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• Proficiency with Google Drive, Microsoft Word, and basic Excel.
• Availability to work full-time, including weekends and holidays, from March/April through September.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest calls and emails with information about trips and courses.
• Help guests choose suitable rafting or kayaking adventures and work to convert inquiries into bookings.
• Coordinate river adventures, trips, and courses for guests.
• Support daily logistics for trips and courses in coordination with the wider operation.
• Welcome guests upon arrival.
• Brief river guides on group-specific details.
