About The Position

Forney Industries is a family-owned welding and metalworking product company headquartered in Fort Collins, Colorado. The Level 2 Sales Representative executes the Forney Sales plan and initiatives for assigned accounts. The role services existing accounts, develops new accounts, implements brand strategies, and is responsible for meeting budgeted revenue and call coverage goals. The representative must reside in the assigned territory and will travel overnight approximately 50% of the time.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent industry experience.
• 1 to 3 years of outside sales experience.
• Proven track record of success, including progressive levels of responsibility.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate across multiple company departments to achieve desired results.
• Must reside in the assigned territory.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record that meets Forney guidelines.
• Ability to sit and drive for several hours at a time.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Nice To Haves

• Direct-to-dealer sales experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute dealer call coverage for the territory, covering 60–80 accounts.
• Achieve revenue targets and the defined territory call cycle.
• Follow sales visit protocols and demonstrate Forney’s Point of Difference.
• Submit timely call reports documenting daily sales activities.
• Promote new items and specials to assigned accounts.
• Meet revenue goals and new-account quotas.
• Understand key account strategies, objectives, and business methodology.
• Execute initiatives to grow existing dealer business within the territory.
• Provide product and sales training to key personnel at key accounts.
• Submit travel expense reports bi-weekly.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
