About The Position

Sleep Number is hiring a Sales Representative to help customers find sleep products that suit their needs and to contribute to the company’s purpose of improving lives through personalized sleep. This retail sales role offers base pay, uncapped commission, and bonus potential. Representatives deliver tailored customer experiences, build customer relationships, and help maintain an exceptional showroom. The role includes sales training and coaching, with opportunities for career development.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to diverse customer needs.
• Goal-oriented, customer-focused attitude and motivation to exceed individual and team sales goals.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• 1–2 years of retail, customer service, or other customer-facing experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in consultative or relationship-based sales, ideally in a commission-driven environment.
• Comfort using CRM systems, point-of-sale technology, and interactive sales tools such as iPads and apps.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Energetic, proactive approach and ability to thrive in a customer-focused environment.
• Collaborative team-player attitude and willingness to welcome feedback and coaching.
• Comfort with adopting new technology.

Responsibilities

• Discover customers’ sleep needs and recommend appropriate Sleep Number products.
• Explain product benefits and current promotions clearly, deliver personalized customer experiences, and work to exceed sales goals.
• Nurture prospective customers through outbound calls and build relationships that generate repeat and new business.
• Work with the team to maintain a polished showroom and provide an exceptional store experience.
• Participate in sales practice training and coaching.

• Base rate of $16 per hour, uncapped commission, and bonus potential; most team members earn $47,000–$58,000 annually, though actual earnings vary and are not guaranteed.
