About The Position

The Porter-New/Used is responsible for performing a variety of duties related to vehicle sales and upkeep of vehicles and dealership property. This is an hourly, on-site role with a starting pay of $17.50 per hour. The listed pay range is $15.50–$26.51 per hour. The position will be open until filled.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic automotive repair and maintenance.
• Ability to handle machinery safely.
• Ability to drive across surrounding states to transport vehicles.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Ability to operate an automobile.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Keep the vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving units as directed by sales managers and in accordance with dealership display standards.
• Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Assist with customer deliveries.
• Ensure vehicles on the lot and in the showroom are clean and in good repair.
• Ensure window stickers are properly placed on newly arrived vehicles for display on the sales floor or lot.
• Pick up vehicles from storage and deliver vehicles to storage and other dealerships.
• Assist with weather-related cleanup when necessary.
• Perform building and grounds maintenance as needed.
• Perform other functions and special projects as assigned.
