About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and courteously, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining merchandise and displays, and helping customers make informed purchasing decisions. The Outfitter stays current on product knowledge and advertised sales and promotes programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.

The position works under general supervision and established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations concerning work procedures, policies, and practices. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout the shift.
• Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move or lift objects up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and help create a pleasant shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products and assist customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and making product recommendations.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of products through ongoing training and stay informed about advertised sales.
• Maintain pricing and signage and assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
