About The Position
The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer-service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience through product demonstrations, product knowledge, merchandise replenishment, and assistance with buying decisions. The position operates under general supervision and established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent experience.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
- Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale register system.
- Ability to stand and/or walk throughout the shift.
- Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move or lift objects weighing up to 100 pounds or more, using a team lift as needed.
Responsibilities
- Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for customers.
- Demonstrate products to customers.
- Replenish and restock products on shelves according to merchandising guidelines and as required.
- Maintain product expertise through ongoing product-knowledge training.
- Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
- Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
- Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Assist customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and making product recommendations based on that analysis.
- Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
