About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer-service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining merchandise and displays, and helping customers make informed purchasing decisions.

The Sales Outfitter works under general supervision and established procedures, with some discretion to resolve problems and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices. This is a part-time seasonal position.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to stand and/or walk during the shift.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally lift or move objects weighing up to 100 pounds or more with team-lift assistance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and support a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products to customers and provide information, assistance, and direction.
• Maintain ongoing product knowledge through training.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and making product recommendations.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
