About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining product knowledge, replenishing and restocking merchandise, maintaining pricing and signage, and assisting with seasonal floor merchandise moves. The Outfitter helps customers make purchasing decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending suitable products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. The position works under general supervision and established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommendations for work procedures, policies, and practices. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale register system.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and help ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products to customers and provide information, assistance, and direction.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs and make product recommendations.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines and as required.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
