About The Position
The Archery Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and courteously, handling merchandise carefully, and providing information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining product knowledge, keeping merchandise stocked and priced correctly, and helping customers make informed buying decisions. The position works under general supervision and uses established procedures and occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommend improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent experience.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change.
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
- Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
- Ability to meet the stated physical demands, including standing and walking throughout the shift and moving or lifting merchandise.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, prompt customer service and help ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
- Demonstrate products to customers and provide information, assistance, and direction.
- Help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending products.
- Promote programs, including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
- Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines and as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of products through ongoing training and remain informed about advertised sales, pricing, and signage.
- Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
- Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
