About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Archery performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience and provides a legendary experience by helping customers make buying decisions through identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.

The Sales Outfitter demonstrates products, maintains product knowledge through ongoing training, keeps informed about advertised sales, and maintains pricing and signage. The role also replenishes and restocks merchandise, assists with seasonal floor merchandise moves, and keeps the work area clean, neat, and well stocked. The position operates under general supervision using established procedures and some innovation; occasional independent judgment is needed, and recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices are often made. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and contribute to a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending products.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay knowledgeable about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines and as required.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
