About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Archery performs selling and customer-service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining merchandise and displays, and helping customers make buying decisions based on their needs. The associate performs duties under general supervision using established procedures and occasional independent judgment.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale register system.
• Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
• Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.
• Ability to occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps; repeat motions involving the wrists, hands, or fingers; operate machinery, power tools, motor vehicles, or heavy equipment; work in tight or confined spaces; and work in noisy environments.

Responsibilities

• Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for customers.
• Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and in a friendly manner; handle merchandise with care and provide information, assistance, and direction.
• Demonstrate products to customers and make product recommendations based on identified customer needs.
• Maintain product knowledge through ongoing training and remain knowledgeable about advertised sales.
• Maintain pricing and signing according to advertised sales.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines and requirements.
• Assist with seasonal floor-merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Make recommendations regarding work procedures, policies, and practices as appropriate.
