Sales Outfitter - Apparel
About The Position
The Sales Outfitter performs sales and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience through product demonstrations, merchandise replenishment, pricing and signage maintenance, seasonal floor moves, and keeping the work area clean and stocked. The Sales Outfitter maintains product knowledge through ongoing training and helps customers make buying decisions by assessing their needs and recommending suitable products. The role also promotes programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and in-store pickup. Duties are performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment and recommendations for improving work procedures, policies, and practices. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent experience.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
- Ability to communicate with customers and associates in a friendly, professional manner.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
- Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale register system.
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, friendly customer service and help create a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
- Demonstrate products and provide customers with information, assistance, and direction.
- Assess customers’ needs and recommend products to help them make buying decisions.
- Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
- Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
- Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines.
- Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
- Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
- Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
