Apparel Sales Outfitter - Part Time
About The Position
The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer-service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience and provides a legendary experience by helping customers make purchasing decisions through identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and in-store pickup. The position also involves demonstrating products, replenishing and restocking merchandise, maintaining product knowledge, keeping current on advertised sales and pricing, assisting with seasonal floor merchandise moves, and keeping the work area clean and stocked. Other duties may be assigned. Work is performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment and recommendations concerning work procedures, policies, and practices.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent experience.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
- Ability to communicate with customers and associates in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
- Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale register system.
Responsibilities
- Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
- Demonstrate products to customers.
- Replenish and restock merchandise as required and in accordance with merchandising guidelines.
- Maintain product expertise through ongoing product-knowledge training.
- Stay knowledgeable about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
- Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
- Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending products.
- Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
