About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains firearm counter sales and customer service, along with floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and courteously, handling merchandise carefully, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction.

The position requires knowledge of firearms and ammunition, customer service and sales skills, and familiarity with applicable ATF federal and state regulations. The employee works under general supervision and established procedures, using occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and making recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices. The role is part-time. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Customer service and sales experience or ability related to firearms and ammunition.
• Knowledge of GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and help create a productive shopping experience.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs, make product recommendations, and promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Ensure Form 4473 documents are completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise for sales at the gun counter.
• Replenish shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
