About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains counter sales and customer service for firearms, along with floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role involves greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction.

The position supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service and a pleasant, productive shopping experience. It assists customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup. The Sales Outfitter also completes firearms transaction forms, maintains and replenishes merchandise, keeps current on product knowledge and advertised sales, supports seasonal merchandise moves, and maintains a clean, well-stocked work area. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition customer service and sales, including GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Support world-class customer service and provide a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Assist customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating needs and recommending products.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Ensure 4473 forms are completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise for sales at the gun counter.
• Replenish products on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
