About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains counter sales and customer service for firearms, along with floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role involves greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise carefully, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction.

The Sales Outfitter supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service and provides a productive, pleasant shopping experience. They help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup. The role also includes accurately completing Form 4473, demonstrating products, maintaining and replenishing merchandise, staying current on product knowledge and advertised sales, maintaining pricing and signage, assisting with seasonal merchandise moves, and keeping the work area clean and stocked. The position follows company policies and procedures and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
• Knowledge of ATF, federal, and state regulations.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition customer service and sales, including GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Support world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and in a friendly manner; provide information, assistance, and direction.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs, recommend products, and promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Complete Form 4473 thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize, maintain, and replenish firearms and other merchandise according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product knowledge through ongoing training and stay informed about advertised sales, pricing, and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
