About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains counter sales and customer service for firearms, along with floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role includes greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The position works under general supervision using established procedures and occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommend improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices.

This is a part-time position. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Product knowledge of firearms and ammunition.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Customer service and sales experience or ability related to firearms and ammunition.
• Knowledge of GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide a pleasant and productive shopping experience and a legendary experience for every customer.
• Help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending products.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Ensure ATF Form 4473 forms are completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise at the gun counter and throughout the retail store for sales.
• Replenish products on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
